Puppeteers of Physics

From GRAB VR Wiki

omnes pro omnibus

The Pupeteers of Physics are a fictional corporation founded in 1910. The basic premise of the company is that they can make anything and everything, and so they have monopolized 60% of the entire world’s products market.

Significance and Impact[edit]

History[edit]

The story of the Pupeteers of Physics begins back in November of 1890. A poor yet intelligent man named Isaac Popper was allowed to lead a mining team down a large cave system called Caverna Nueva. In there, with one sole mission of mining for coal, they all discover something else. After chipping away a thin wall of rock, they find an enormous glowing orb. After talking to each other, the orb begins to create things that they mention, and so they begin experimenting. It isn’t long until they figure out the abilities of this orb.

After years of coming back and experimenting, eventually the mining company goes bankrupt and in the place of Caverna Nueva, the first POP facility is made. The founders, Isaac Popper, Nixon Fury, and Simon Evergreen, begin working on new products. They start with producing mining tools and equipment, the most sophisticated ever. They create a good cover story on how they made such advanced tools.

POP begins expanding into new product types. One day though, Isaac kills the other founders in an effort to keep the company to himself. In 1940 when Isaac is getting old and frail, he gives command of the company to his son, Clark Popper.

Clark revolutionizes POP, by playing himself a wild card. Instead of taking the products slow, he mass-produces, and instead of creating an excuse to this magic, he reveals information about the orb to the public. Although astonished, the public cannot go near or even see photos of the orb.

Vanessa Popper is the new head of POP in 1970. She industrializes everything, establishing POP as a modern, even futuristic monstrously large corporation. The facilities are moved from the small town in Texas of Mundo Largo to the large town of Los Dioses, California. She also dubs the powerful orb the “Paradox Point”, after her and a science department figure out that the orb is actually unstable because of a paradox that happened a long time ago. It was made known that the Paradox Point would be harmed by causing paradoxes, so they refrain from doing that. Vanessa also develops a system of levels of destruction of the Paradox Point using a simulation.

In 1999 after Vanessa’s unexpected chronically illness, she passes her command to Vincent Popper. Vincent Popper was considered to be the smartest when it came to marketing and what products they made. Vincent stuck to the biggest trends, and was said to have never missed on any products and marketing tactics they made and used.

Vincent’s reign was shortlisted though, as he no longer wished to have the stress of maintaining such a large business. So, in 2018, Vincent passed his command down to his son, Oskar Popper. Oskar was admittedly average, but more than anyone, he knew business. Oskar maintained POP’s stock growing, never having a noticeable low. Oskar had many ambitions, but these would be shortlived.

One day, the Paradox Point had reached Stage 3. This meant that for it to continue working it needed to be repaired as soon as possible. Thanks to Vanessa’s work, they knew that the Paradox Point could not just be repaired. It needs to first reach level 5 to be repaired, to do so, a paradox needs to happen. Oskar began work on a multi-step project. They took one of POP’s random janitors and brought him into a room, forcing him to enable the carefully crafted “Alligator Paradox”. After he did, the Paradox Point was corrupted, which also corrupted POP’s V2 Void (created under Oskar’s ownership). This corrupted Void spread throughout the facilities, killing many and infecting others.

The next step of the plan was to hire a random person to fix the paradox point. This person was Cole Banks, a random but brave and hard-working individual. After 8 months of Cole staying as a Paperboy for POP, they finally enact their plan by imprisoning him and allowing him to be broken free if he fixes the paradox point. It’s a deal he can’t refuse. He’s accidentally sucked INTO the core, but when he gets out through a GuideBot named TIM, TIM also fixes the paradox point for him. The fixing is gradual though, the corrupted void is still spreading. Slowly but surely, the paradox point gets more and more healed, reaching level 1. But now Cole is on the run, and eventually he shoots Oskar dead as Oskar and the others believed he hadn’t fixed the Paradox Point since they didn’t expect the change to be so gradual. Cole was acclaimed to self defense, as POP attacked first. After the death of Oskar and the destruction of the main POP building, POP as we know it was over.

Corporation Layout & Structure[edit]

The Puppeteers of Physics divides itself among a multitude of branches, each with its own purpose and functionality. This tab is a debrief of some of the branches in POP, in no particular order.

  • Circle of Heads: The Circle of Heads is a collective group of the heads, or leaders of each major non-product branch. In other words, the leaders of each branch that doesn’t produce or regulate products. The Circle includes the following members:

Oskar Popper - Head of POP, Paradox Point user

Gary Paulson - Head of Employee Interviews Department

Danny G. Stalker - Head of Employee Evaluations & Checking Department

Imp O. Sterling - Head of Employee Punishments Department

Buster D. Commer - Head of MVTD (Multiversal Travelling Department)

Bjorn Lastick - Head of Security Department

————

Sticking with this, the next few departments will be those that were listed above

————

Employee Interviews Department: This department hires members to hire members! In other words, this department’s workers are trained in interviewing people to hire them to work at POP. They are headed by Gary Paulson, who also does interviews and trains the rest of the department.

Employee Evaluations & Checking Department: This department focuses on checking out what other employees of POP are doing, and making sure they’re doing their jobs right. All of their workers are trained in highly monitoring other workers. Some will just sit at surveillance rooms and watch cameras, while others will go out and evaluate employees, some secretively, others very openly. Their head, Danny G. Stalker is a master at secretly observing employees (he follows the player around almost every level in POP, look out for him)!

Employee Punishments Department: This department has faced so many controversies that it was almost disbanded. The department focuses on figuring out which punishments suit which penalties. Their workers are very varied when it comes to their roles. Some build or design different punishments, others intact the punishments, and some overview them. Their head, Imp O. Sterling does it all! Albeit a little unhinged, he’s still a mastermind when it comes to deciding and designing punishments. We do not speak of the torture chamber.

The MVTD: The Multiversal Travel Department (MVTD) focuses on both exploring the multiverse and creating and designing gadgets and tech to aid with such travels. The genius but infamously drunk head of this department, Buster D. Commer single-handedly created the V1 and V2 portals and also made the first gateway, the blueprint for every other model, and the setup manual. He teaches his employees how to safely travel the multiverse and also the basics of designing multiversal tech. Though he’s very well-known to be a bad teacher when drunk, which is about 99% of the time.

Security Department: Remember the Employee Punishments department? Yeah well one of their punishments was the creation of this here department. The Security department is made up of many highly trained security officers and guards, who under the command of different chiefs, or even more, their head, Bjorn Lastick, will go after any criminal sitting POP facilities and bring them to the jails at POP. These same jails where the player ends up in Episode 5 and leaves from in Episode 6.

———— The next few branches/departments will mainly be product/service branches. ————

Mining Materials Department: This was the first ever department within POP. Ironically, they are now one of the branches with the least sales as of now. Their single purpose is to design, sell, and market (DSM) mining tools and materials. They are headed by Bobby Coleson.

Fun! Department: The biggest department in POP by sales, this department focuses on the DSM of toys, games, board games, activities, movies, shows, etc. They have their own subdivisions including:

  • Toys Division
  • Video Games Division
  • Board Games Division
  • Movie Division
  • Show Division
  • Fun! Vehicles Division (with Vehicular Department)

They are headed by Mr. And Mrs. Brikaflik.

Culinary Department: This department is very simple. They focus on the DSM of culinary tools and appliances, and have quickly swept this market. They’re headed by the master chef Sandra A. Ramsoy.

Cuisine Department: This department sounds very simple, being just the DSM of foods, but their work is actually much more intriguing than that. To sell quality foods, they will sometimes take foods and related resources from other dimensions and planets and such to be able to create sellable foods. They are headed by the brilliant food critic Roberto I. Pereira.

Hygiene Department: This department is both product and non-product. As they are the ones who distribute janitors throughout POP and around the world, as well as stocking up POP facilities with hygiene materials. But they ALSO focus on the DSM of Hygiene materials worldwide. They are headed by former janitor Ramon F. Whitely.

Decorations Department: This department focuses on the DSM of various decorative items. They have two subdivisions:

  • Outdoor Decorations
  • Indoor Decorations

Their department probably have the most variety of all the other, possibly except the Fun! Department. The reason for which they have such variety is because the focus on the DSM of EVERY KIND of possible decoration. They are headed by Mrs. Docawitz.

Vehicular Department: This department has many subdivisions, each big enough to almost be considered a department of its own.

  • Car Division
  • Boat Division
  • Motorcycle Division
  • Fun! Vehicles Division (with Fun! Department)
  • Train Division
  • Public Transportation Division
  • Airplane & Aerial Vehicles Division

Each division focuses on the DSM of what the division is about. They also create manuals, do repairs and customs, and every other thing to do with said divisions. They are headed by Robbie Pyrite, a former mechanic and train conductor.

Real Estate Department: Self-explanatory. They focus on real-estate, headed by Clara Storea.

Buildings Department: This department has two main divisions, each also big enough to almost be its own departments:

  • Architectural Division
  • Interior Design Division

These divisions focus on what they say, architecture and interior design for every kind of building. They are headed by Sergio Gonzalez.

Tech Department: This department focuses on the DSM of all sorts of technology. Including but not limited to, computers, televisions, phones, video game consoles, AC units, tablets, etc. They are headed by the tech genius Blitzen Copperhead.

Construction Department: This department trains its workers to learn how to build and operate construction machinery. They deploy their workers internationally to build . They are headed and mainly taught by former architect and construction worker, Billy Vallez.

Travel Department: This department focuses on the DSM of travel plans and airports and related things. They place their 5-star airports and airlines internationally. This large department is headed by Joey Aero, a former air-force pilot turned commercial flight pilot.

Domestic Animals Department: This department focuses on the DSM of pet items including bowls, food, kennels, cages, toys, etc. As well as the sale and adoptions of domestic pets. Most of which are from this world, some though, like the cuisine department are taken and bred from other dimensions, universes, and/or planets. They are headed by former pet-trainer Amanda Blusen.

Real-World Entertainments Department: This department was made with the sole purpose of housing multiple former departments into more manageable branches. They focus on the DSM of related items in the following divisions:

  • Theatre Division
  • Zoological Division
  • Aquarium Division
  • Circus Division
  • Theme/Amusement Park Division
  • Arcade Division
  • Trampoline Park Division
  • Karting Division
  • Sports Stadiums Division

They are headed by Finn T. Collar

Sports Department: This department is the second largest in sales and focuses on the DSM of all sorts of sporting equipment. They are headed by former soccer and basketball manager & coach, Doug Paddleton.

Drinks Department: This department simply focuses on the DSM of various drinks and drink related items. They are known for their great sodas, juices, and energy drinks. They are headed by Emilio R. Garcia.

Furniture Department: This department focuses on the DSM of high-quality furniture from every price range and type. Their head is Emma J. Dickinson.

Clothing Department: This department focuses on the DSM of any and all clothing items. Ranging in quality, price, and type. This makes up a big portion of POP’s income. They’re headed by William T. Weaver.
